Channel the US Military Aid Funds to the most basic needs of the people

How much money does a person need to have "freedom from hunger and homelessness?"

Is it equivalent to an armored vehicle? An installation of temporary naval station in a host country? A study to develop or prevent a nuclear facility? Cost of joint military exercise?

Those things comes to my mind when i signed an activist petition on Care2 regarding homeless and hungry US veterans. It seems something blocked my throat and tears started to flow.

I came from a 3rd world country and i cannot imagine how and why it could happen to an American citizen. We are always thankful for all the help that the US Government extend to my country but it's about time US Government take care of it's own citizen.

Please stop giving military aid to allied countries if your people is going through hardship. Yes, we really need your help too "IF AND ONLY IF" it's for the most basic needs like food and shelter.

Do something to improve lives not tools for creating war and hurting people. PLEASE CHANNEL THE US MILITARY AID FUNDS TO THE MOST BASIC NEEDS OF HUMANITY!
