The frequency, severity, damage and cost of extreme weather events are steadily worsening and the cause is clear: man-made climate change. In 2021, U.S. greenhouse gas emissions rose by 6.2% as oil, gas and coal plants roared back to life.
We're already learning the hard way that climate change is a threat to all Americans, but with that knowledge in hand we can fight for bold interventions that will tackle our man-made climate crisis. With your support we can curb the worst impacts of climate change and avoid hotter heat waves, drier droughts, bigger storm surges and greater snowfall. But only if we act now.
We know this issue cannot be ignored any longer. And that's why we're asking you to raise your voice and urge our leaders to take immediate action.
Petition: Protect our Environment from Climate Pollution.
To slow the rate of warming and the effects it has on weather systems we need to take bold action to address the largest sources of man-made pollution and protect us from future disasters. That's why I'm asking our leaders to:
- Tackle tailpipe pollution by accelerating our transition to electric vehicles.
- Diversify our energy options using clean, renewable resources.
- Propel our energy grid into the 21st century with the latest technology.
- Hold corporations accountable by setting ambitious and attainable emissions targets.
- Overhaul our aging infrastructure to withstand the hazards of a changing climate.
