People should sign this petition because people should be more aware about animal testing. There are many people who are aware of animal testing but they decide to not do much. Animal testing is morally wrong and many animals are being harmed. These animals are said to have similarities too us humans that can help have no harmful cosmetics to us humans. Millions of animals are used for these experiments.
The United States spends between $12 billion & $14.5 billion dollars from taxpayer money, on animal testing each year. This money could be used for other expences such as education or other health issues.
When lab animal carcasses are incinarated, the tested chemicals are released into the atmosphere. These chemicals only pollute the atmosphere and contribute to climate change and global warming. This could also lead heath issues like athsma, cardio vascular disease and cancers.
There are many solutions to this issue. We have found that there are many alternatives that are cheaper but have the same or better results as the original. We have seen that these results do not require the need for animals. There is also the Animal Welfare Act that is a law that already exist. this law in order for it to work , it needs to be enforced. With this law being enforced there might be a better chance for animals to not be used for testing in cosmetics.
