**Petition for the Release of My Dog Louie from the Grafton Pound**
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to urgently request the release of my dog, Louie, from the Grafton Pound. The recent and tragic passing of my partner, Heath has left both me and Louie in a state of distress. Louie witnessed this horrible event and is undoubtedly traumatized. The trauma he has experienced, compounded by the past week in the pound, has taken a toll on his well-being.
I have been caring for Louie for the last three years alongside my partner and have always provided him with love and attention. It pains me to see him removed from my care, especially now when he needs me the most. Louie is not just a pet; he is family, and the bond we share is irreplaceable.
Additionally, I face the difficulty of knowing that a next of kin who has never cared for Louie wishes to take him. They do not know him, nor have they played any role in his upbringing. I also have another dog, Justice, who is mourning the loss of both her father and her brother Louie. The separation is hard on both pets, and I believe reuniting them would help us all heal together.
