Fire Journalist Alyssa Marino (ABC57 South Bend, IN)

This petition was started on Friday, April 3rd 2015 at 4 am EST. This Journalist should not get away with entrapping and trying to defame the now famous 'Memories Pizza' out of Walkerton, IN, owned by the O'Connor family. That has now had a GoFundMe account raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for them. But, justice is still not fully served yet.

This journalist Alyssa Marino lost all credibility as a responsible or ethical journalist! She and her news station could easily be sued for entrapment and possibly defamation! I don't wish ill will on them. But, something must happen to this irresponsible journalist!

Remember Brian Williams? He was let go temporarily (maybe permanently now) for lying about his experience in Iraq, which was disrespectful to our military, and lying as a journalist. And he was caught in it, something should have been done. I'm afraid this "journalist" will be let off as time goes away and this story fades, no repercussion, which is wrong! And it sets up a scary precedent for journalists in the future! Time to tell all news stations have a little character with your reporting!

What Alyssa Marino did was worse then Brian Williams, this brought on hate and arson and death threats (which could have led to even worse lawsuits like arson and even Second Degree murder or manslaughter !) on the O'Connors out of this little town, and the locals say they are good, giving people! They never even turn anyone away or even said they would. They just didn't feel right catering to a gay wedding if they were asked, which never happened. Alyssa set them up. Where are their First Amendment Rights? Just stating an opinion, based on their free speech and religious rights they get slandered? Good grief! What happened to America? I miss her!

Was Alyssa responsible directly for the death threats? Absolutely not, she never did such, but her attempts to target this family (who had crosses and Christian singer photos on their wall) by her questions (which the answers were kind of obvious) led to the calls for violence and burning down their business. How could ABC 57 turn a blind eye to false reporting, targeting, and what could be lawsuits including entrapment and defamation? This petition is to get this news station's attention, and to do something, that is if they have any credibility left!

If this situation escalated, the O'Connors could be dead and/or their place could be burned down! Which what kind of responsibility and lawsuits would ABC 57 and Alyssa Marino face then? Arson? Second Degree murder? Manslaughter? Could they even be responsible or sued for inciting violence now?

And those who are criticizing us for making this petition that she may lose her profession and will end up on wellfare. First of all she didn't care about a bunch of people's livelihood including their lives and safety. Secondly she doesn't belong in the journalist profession after what she did, but it doesn't mean she will be unemployed chances are after this someone might (probably on the left) feel sorry for her. That's if this petition works.

This news station may not feel firing is right (which sadly, it is their station and business and their credibility on the line. it's ultimately up to them, but if enough people speak out to them.) but this petition is to get their attention to do something or they'll probably do nothing. Which that alone is wrong.

Brian Williams was held accountable but not for entrapment or defaming and putting people's lives in danger, or inciting violence, just lying! (which is wrong as a journalist, their careers are based on reporting "facts", or at least they should be). We are also basically setting a precendent and telling all journalists nationwide have some integrity for once! We Americans are getting tired of it! The viewer numbers on some of those news platforms that stir up the drama are proving our point!

DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT DO WHAT THE "TOLERANT LEFT" DID. Be civil and respectful, but as Americans this is what we're trying to preserve with these attacks, our First Amendment Rights!

We have no reason to put her personal contact details here, because this is a petition to her employer and they are a public facility who feeds us (the people) news! They should be held responsible. Her email with her employer should and could be found but as far as her personal residence that would be wrong. I never believe returning hate for hate. Christ calls us to turn the other cheek.

By the way anything can be twisted any way people want but the truth is this does not damper our cause. It says to the gay progressive lobby (not all gays are doing it and sometimes not even gays, often not) pushing their agenda on us that we aren't going to take it anymore. Leave us alone. Go do business elsewhere, where you feel welcome. We have First Amendment Rights too, we shouldn't face threats including lawsuits and fears of losing our businesses and lives simply for not wanting to participate in your choices. Don't target us. We have had enough, we are taking a stand, a stand also for all those businesses who's rights were violated in the past and have been sued and had to shut their doors!

I know many more of you highly suspect that Alyssa did what the progressives do, seek out Christian and religious establishments to target them, (even for financial gain in lawsuits). She proved this and that Religious Freedom laws are much needed today to reinforce the First Amendment. For those two things we thank you Alyssa Mirano.
