In Foster City, California, there are over 300 geese. These geese have lived there in peace, most of whom have never harmed anyone intentionally. These geese are innocent, sentient beings. Yet, just because of their poop, officials in the city now want to kill them.
There is concern that the poop may be a health risk to humans, due to E. Coli. The geese poop in the water, which contaminated the water. I understand that these health concerns need to be dealt with, but unnecessarily killing sentient beings is never the answer! The officials have tried using non-lethal methods before, but with limited success. But what if the afore-tried like fogging, bringing in dogs and birth control were to all be practiced together, as well as deterrents, relocation and even bans on feeding them? There has to be a humane way!
We won't stop fighting until these geese are safe! We will continue to contact these officials until all plans to kill the geese are cancelled, the geese are permanently protected and safe and only humane, non-lethal methods are used!
