We demand the Brazilian Government to Support Tibet's Freedom

We, the under signed, firmly believe that  freedom of expression and freedom of assembly  are basic human rights.
Therefore, as citizens of the world, we believe that tibetan people have the right  to their culture and to their own ancestral lands, including their own religion preferences.
The guarantee of human rights throughout the world is the moral duty of any democratic government, which naturally includes Brazil.
So we ask you to urgently:
- Fully work in order to engage the People's Republic of China on recognizing and addressing the legitimate grievances of the Tibetan people; 
- Promote a truthful understanding of the situation in Tibet. It is unacceptable for China to contend that Tibetans are free to practice their relgion while criminalizing possession of a photograph of His Holiness the Dalai Lama;
- Change your present diplomatic postitions that favours China in relation to the right of tibetan people for freedom and the recognition of Tibet as an independent country;
- Fully support the righteous claims of tibetan people, now scattered around the world in order to avoid persecution, prison and death penalties imposed by China.
Brazil's foreign policies are a shame to most brazilians and before the world's public opinion. Please start to change this by standing on the side of the tibetan people, subdued to China's distatorship for decades now.Without the international community's efforts, the reality inside Tibet will remain shrouded. Please urge the Chinese authorities to grant open access to Tibet in order to facilitate common understanding and promote reconciliation between the Tibetan and Chinese Peoples.
