Billion-Dollar Company Starbucks Doesn't Want to Pay Workers What They Deserve

It's finally the holiday season, and our favorite traditions, films, and treats are back in rotation -- like, for example, your favorite seasonal drink from the wildly popular coffeehouse chain, Starbucks.

But while Starbucks enjoys incredible success and profits from its pumpkin lattes, peppermint mochas, and more this season, it is actively discouraging and even obstructing its employees from getting the pay and benefits they deserve.

Sign the petition and demand Starbucks' leaders stop union-busting, follow labor laws, and stand up for its workers!

It's been two years since the first successful attempt to unionize a Starbucks store sparked a movement at other locations across the United States. That spark has led to another 360 locations voting to unionize; but it has also brought down a rain of fire from Starbucks leadership in the form of union-busting and labor law violations.

Closing locations that recently unionized. Cutting hours of workers at unionized stores. Even illegally firing employees "in retaliation for union activity."

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) so far claims that Starbucks has carried out over "1,000 illegal actions" in this attempted annihilation of workers' protected right to organize.

And it shows no signs of slowing down. Currently, 9,000 workers are organizing at stores across the nation and Starbucks leadership is refusing to reasonably negotiate, offering pay increases lower than those in 2022 even though 2023 saw record inflation rates.

Starbucks is valued at over $100 billion, and it is willing to break the law over and over again to keep that money in the pockets of executives and away from workers who need and deserve it. Enough is enough. We demand Starbucks do better for its workers, and set an example for all companies in the US.

Sign the petition to Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan and his leadership team and tell them that we want Starbucks to negotiate with, support, and respect unions!
