Save Beatriz's Life and Allow Her Abortion!

The fetus she has been carrying for 4 1/2 months has no brain and only a partial skull. Doctors have declared it to be nonviable, meaning its chances of survival are minimal. The fetus is also killing Beatriz.

22 year old Beatriz is suffering from lupus and kidney disease, conditions made even more dangerous by her nonviable pregnancy. But in El Salvador, all abortions are illegal. There are no exceptions, no extenuating circumstances, no options. If Beatriz's doctors were to perform an abortion anyway, they could all face years in prison.

The hospital where she's being treated has petitioned the Supreme Court to allow them to perform this life-saving abortion, but months later, they've received no response.

This situation is heartbreaking and urgent. Every day, Beatriz gets closer to death as her pregnancy literally destroys her body. She's still alive, but may not be for long.
