Those who planned the deadly insurrection and the rally that led to it say they participated in "dozens of meetings" with officials as high ranking as White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. One organizer added, ""I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene specifically. I remember talking to probably close to a dozen other members at one point or another or their staffs."
This should be no surprise. More than a dozen GOP state lawmakers were present in the mob on January, including one who live-streamed himself entering the Capitol Building.
And many tweets and videos shared by GOP Members of Congress on the day of the coup ranged from encouragement to incitement to outright assisting, including one Representative who live-tweeted the changing locations of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the insurgents.
This coup took an army of Republicans…and they are not above the law.
