A Backyard Breeder Abandoned 21 Dogs to Die, Leaving Survivors to Cannibalize the Deceased

Neighbors in an Arizona town were observing something strange. A man had left 11 dogs and 7 puppies outside on his property and simply driven away. Weeks passed, and he didn't return. But the animals didn't appear to have any food, water, or shelter.

That's when authorities discovered that the man, a backyard breeder who sells animals on social media, had abandoned these 18 dogs. And before he'd done that, three more had already died.

Once authorities received a search warrant and investigated the property, they discovered the seven puppies gathered around their mama dog - who was already lying dead in the dirt. Another dog's corpse was lying elsewhere. A third dog had decomposed so badly, the only things that were left were its skull and its bones.

Other dogs either wandered around the yard, or were confined to a side area. Without any food or nourishment, they had found another way to stay alive: by cannibalizing the corpses of two of the deceased dogs. As a result, they were extremely ill, infested with worms and riddled with diseases like canine parvovirus (or "parvo").

As the local Chief Deputy explained: "I can't even go visit these animals because you have to dress up in a protective suit because of some of the diseases and things that are involved."

There is no possible excuse for abandoning animals or leaving them to such horrible fates. Authorities have already found and apprehended the man after he evaded them for days, and he is in custody. But the worst part is, evidence suggests he was already charged with animal cruelty in Arizona before, in another county.

This man keeps using and exploiting animals, leaving them dead, neglected, or sick. He must be kept away from animals in the future! Sign the petition to ban him from ever owning, living with, or working with animals in the future!
