Tell Florida schools to end the ban on Amanda Gorman’s poem from Biden’s inauguration!

Unbelievably, the poem that Amanda Gorman read at President Biden inauguration has been banned from a Florida elementary school after one singular parent accused it of being "CRT."

That parent, Daily Salinas, has a history of posting anti-Semitic memes on her Facebook page, including one recounting the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," so it's clear what kind of ideology she supports and what she's trying to accomplish by blocking this poem from students.

Restore all the banned books!

Salinas also petitioned the school to restrict children's books about the Black poet Langston Hughes and about Black and Cuban history, all but one of which were removed from Miami-Dade county elementary school libraries.

Salinas has admitted that she DIDN'T EVEN READ THE ENTIRE POEM before demanding it be taken off the shelves. This is beyond ridiculous; this woman has no business telling kids what they can and can't read if she won't even read it herself. The state of Florida needs to restore the poem to libraries ASAP!
