Fire Mark Whicker

The Orange County Register prides itself on holding public officials and others accountable for their actions, as they should. But then their own sports columnist Mark Whicker wrote this despicable column belittling the rape and kidnapping of 11-year Jaycee Dugard: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/world-won-most-2555260-never-one
No reprimand. No suspension. No firing. Just business as usual and a few insincere apologies. In fact, Whicker was back writing his poorly conceived columns just a few days later.It's time for OC Register readers to turn the tables and demand accountability for those responsible for the publication of this insensitive and offensive column.If you find this column offensive and think Mark Whicker and his editors should be held accountable for its publication, sign the petition.
