PLEASE HELP MOVE LONELY & ABUSED LUCY FROM THE BRUTALLY CRUEL EDMONTON VALLEY ZOO, CANADA, TO A SANCTUARY IN TENNESSEE OR CALIFORNIA.

The above photo shows one of LUCY's EDMONTON VALLEY ZOO keepers hanging off her trunk, poking his bullhook into her mouth and pressing the hooked tip against her tongue. HOOKING AN ELEPHANT IN HER SENSITIVE MOUTH IS EXTREMELY ABUSIVE AND CRUEL. This is totally unacceptable conduct by an elephant keeper in a supposedly civilized community. Unfortunately, this is the horrifically cruel life Lucy has lived ever since zoo purchased her from a notorious wildlife dealer in 1977 at the age of two. What's happening to Lucy should never be inflicted on any wild creature. She is brutalized, isolated and effectively tortured for 39 YEARS and lives a lonely life without the company of other elephants.
Is there any REASONABLE JUSTIFICATION for this? Is this CONSERVATION of the species, or even minimal humane care of an endangered Asian elephant? *** Lucy has been offered a place at two sanctuaries in the U.S. that take “retired” elephants from zoos and circuses.
#1. The Elephant Sanctuary (TES) in Tennessee This facility has vast areas for the elephants to roam in social groups with their own species.
#2. The second sanctuary which is willing to take Lucy in is the Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) sanctuary in San Andreas, California.
