UPDATE: They taped a 9-week-old puppy’s mouth tightly shut

UPDATE: We heard from an authority at Lee County Domestic Animal Services and it turns out we were working from incomplete information. In fact, both animals - the puppy with its muzzle taped shut and the adult dog - were taken into custody immediately when authorities got involved! This means that both dogs are safely in care and not in danger of further harm from this couple. Thank you for your passion and commitment to helping the animals and we are so relieved these two are safe.
