As if Trump hasn't disparaged our veterans and service members enough, he's gone and done it again! Trump said the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a civilian award, is "much better" than the Congressional Medal of Honor, which is the highest military decoration awarded to members of the armed forces. He said this while praising Republican megadonor Miriam Adelson, whom he awarded the Medal of Freedom while in office:
"That's the highest award you can get as a civilian, it's the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version. It's actually much better, because everyone gets the Congressional Medal of Honor -- that's soldiers. They're either in very bad shape because they've been hit so many times by bullets, or they're dead. She gets it and she's a healthy, beautiful woman, and they're rated equal."
Trump clearly has no respect for our veterans who put their lives on the line for our country. He absolutely cannot be our Commander in Chief. And he should apologize immediately.
