We Demand Healthy Food Choices In Gary Indiana

I am a resident of Gary Indiana. There is a complete lack of grocery stores, farmers markets, Smoothie Shops, & Vitamin Stores in the entire city. The only choices are fast food restaurants and the abundance of liquor stores. For a population of 70,000 residents who are mostly African American, this lack of investment is egregious and directly impacts the health of an already marginalized community. The residents of Gary Indiana deserve better and we demand government intervention immediately!
