We demand an enforceable 20mph Zone in Middlewich

WE THE UNDERSIGNED, BEING RESIDENTS OF ST. ANN'S, WESTLANDS AND EAST ROADS, CALL ON CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL TO RE-DESIGNATE THESE STREETS AS AN ENFORCEABLE 20MPH ZONE, BECAUSE:
1) Access to Middlewich Primary School. It is CEC policy to encourage 20mph speeds on roads adjacent to schools with significant pupil footfall. St Ann's Rd provides access to three schools.
2) Access to Willowmere retirement village. Many vulnerable adults access Willowmere via East Road, either on mobility vehicles or on foot.
3) A growing number of children live and play on East Rd/Westlands Rd.
4) There is no place on East Rd or Westlands Rd where it is safe to drive vehicles faster than 20mph.
WE DEMAND THAT PUBLIC SAFETY OF ALL RESIDENTS IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL.
