KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE : INSTALL A CROSSWALK

New construction is going up all over the place in Monroe and none have been more busy these last 5 years then the Housing Hope property at 174th and Main ST; and now new housing is going up next door. Our kids, and adults, have to cross busy Main St. just to get to their bus stop or get home from their bus stop - or walk almost a mile to the nearest crosswalk - not to mention my son was given a warning by Monroe Police for not using a crosswalk. . so he has to walk a mile to get to his bus stop instead of 20 feet across the street?. We are hoping to spread awareness about the dangers crossing Main ST represents and hopefully get our city to put in a crosswalk at 174th and Main ST.
