We need your help to reunite a lost cat with her heartsick owners.
Rodri wasn't even a year old when she was boarded onto the plane that should've taken her safely to Athens, Greece --
still just a kitten. She had been rescued on the streets of Crete, and her family was transporting her to Germany for desperately needed medical care.
But somewhere between Crete and Athens, Rodri went missing, and her family is still searching for answers.Sign the petition to demand Aegean Airlines do everything it can to find Rodri and return her safely to her family!On March 8, 2024, the kitten's caretaker Gomes Kopp boarded Rodri and two other cats onto an Aegean Airlines flight. The airline was tasked with transporting the three cats safely in the plane's cargo hold -- simple as that. But during her layover in Athens, Gomes was told that Rodri's crate had been broken, and
sweet Rodri was nowhere to be found. Now, more than a month later, Aegean Airlines has stopped replying to Gomes and her family, and refuses to take responsibility for Rodri's disappearance.
We must put pressure on this company to do what's right and bring this cat to safety!Due to a difficult start to life, Rodri only has one eye, and was already experiencing issues with the other. Her family was bringing her to Germany under the instructions of their vet in Greece, who advised that she could be better treated there.
Rodri's family found her living in a heap of garbage in Crete, and gave her the love, care, and home she needed -- only to have her ripped away.Aegean Airlines tried for five days to find Rodri -- since then, her family hasn't heard from them.
Five days. Meanwhile, Rodri is likely at one of the airports where Aegean operates,
alone, terrified, and in need of care. There is no reason why Aegean should stop aiding Rodri's family in finding her, especially because they were the ones paid to safely transport her and they bear the responsibility of losing her.
We cannot give up on sweet Rodri! We must show Aegean Airlines that the world is watching. Sign to demand Aegean Airlines do everything in its power until Rodri is found!
