Over the past 15 years, I have known several people that have gone to Spalding Regional (Wellstar) for various reasons. The reasons being anywhere from my best friend busting his head open on a diving board, my ex-girlfriend being in keto acidosis, my father having an Arortic Dissection, to my mother who had an extremely dangerous amount of infection due to untreated appendicitis.
Spalding Regional (Wellstar) DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!!! Time and time again my family and friends have received TERRIBLE care (in several instances, the hospital made the original situation MUCH worse just because they had no idea what they were doing, or they just DIDNT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS.
My mother was basically bedridden in pain, and after calling her nurses direct lines multiple times (failing to reach ANYBODY on call), she was forced to get herself out of bed and take care of business all by herself. This is not only very dangerous, but also just completely UNACCEPTABLE! One of the TOP reasons people go to the hospital is BECAUSE they cant take care of themselves due to health problems.
I know for a fact that thousands of complaints have been filed against them over the years, and they have not improved AT ALL! If anything, they have gotten WORSE!
It's time for us to stand up and DEMAND the quality of care that every hospital is REQUIRED to give! It's time we demand that something be done! The higher-ups at Spalding Regional (Wellstar) need to hold their staff accountable for the TERRIBLE quality of treatment they give their patients. It's time we demand to be treated like human beings at Spalding Regional (Wellstar) PLEASE sign the petition and offer your support! Let's tell these people that enough is enough!
