Stop Sweden from killing 40 000 seals

The Swedish government is planning to increase the sealing quotas to 40 000 seals because they eat too much fish and causes trouble for the Swedish fishing industry, if passed, the hunt would include 3 following species in coastal waters and the ice of the Gulf of Bothnia.

Grey seals (protected)
Harbor seals (protected)
Baltic ringed seals (endangered)

Seal meat, blubber, oil and fur is also widely available in Sweden, despite the fact that it is banned in the EU. The new proposal would mean that anyone with a hunting license would be able to get license to hunt seals how much they want under the new quota. Seals are already commercially hunted in Sweden in the name of the fishing industry, but not nearly as large amounts as the new quota proposal that is likely to pass.
