Lady Gaga’s fans adore and look up to their Mother Monster. She is an inspiration to the youth of the world, and has done so much good in the years she has been in the entertainment industry, using her voice to unite people with tolerance and love.
Recently Gaga has taken to wearing clothing made of fur, while in the past she has been against it: “I hate fur, and I don't wear fur” - The Ellen Show, 2004. I choose to believe that if she knew of the cruelty of the fur industry, she would be heartbroken to have supported it. While Gaga continues to be a voice for minority groups, these animals need a voice – not someone with such wide reach promoting their death (sometimes only after their skin has been removed).
Mother M: Please watch this video and stop supporting this cruel industry - http://youtu.be/sVpmJ_fsJzw
Little Monsters: Please pass this on so that we can let MM know that although we love and respect her, we do not want the money we spend on albums, concert tickets and merchandise to go towards the skinning of innocent animals.
There are many alternatives to fur. While art is an extremely important part of human culture, it should never come at the expense of pain and suffering of another being.
