Stop the cruel and inhumane killing of animals for Halal/Kosher meat.

The method of animal slaughter used by Jews and Muslims should be banned immediately, says the Farm Animal Welfare Council.
This independent advisory body claims that the method by which Kosher and Halal meat is produced causes severe suffering to animals.
Both the Jewish and Muslim religions state that slaughter should be carried out with a single cut to the throat, rather than the more widespread (more humane) method of stunning with a bolt into the head before slaughter...
"Flowing blood should be drained out from the carcass by natural convulsion” - in other words, the the animal must be alive in order for the blood to drain.
The RSPCA is opposed to the slaughter of any food animal without first rendering it insensible to pain and distress until death supervenes. They continue to press for changes in legislation that would improve the welfare of the animals at the time of slaughter.
Would you like to be so scared by the noise, the smell of death and harshly teathered down while your throat is cut and then writhe around in agony hefore you die?
I think not.
Seriously please think about this, because ALL animals have the right to respect, even until the point of their death.
