End Afghan War & Oil Dependence
WHEREAS the ulterior motive for continuation of the War on Terror and the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is to insure access to Mideast oil; WHEREAS the cost to date since Sept 11, 2001 is over over 37,000 American Sons and Daughters and thousands of civilians killed and wounded and over One Trillion dollars; WHEREAS you contemplate futher years of war costing up to $800 Billion through 2020; and WHEREAS millions of Americans are already suffering impoverishment for lack of regulation of the merciless greed of the wealthy corporate elite who profit from war and our dependence on oil
WE THE UNDERSIGNED citizens of the United States and nations throughout the world petition, demand, and appeal to the President and Congress of the USA to immediately end the war in Afghanistan and invest the $80 Billion in annual savings to reduction of our dependence on oil.
