Eliminate Animal Testing Once and For All

Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective method of research. Innocent animals have been tortured for far too long. The United States alone spend about 136 billion dollars annually. Animal testing has been proven ineffective in many ways. Just because something is safe for a cat or dog does not mean it is safe for a human. There have been countless deaths associated with animal testing. If your dog or cat were dying would you perform an experiment on your healthy aunt? Of course not. So, if it is not possible to cure a sick animal by experimenting on a human would it be possible to experiment on a healthy animal to cure a sick human? Over 100000 people have been harmed or killed by animal testing. An example that animal testing is ineffective is when hexachlorophene, a germicide used in detergents, soaps and shampoos, was proved by animal testing was than sent to a hospital to clean infants in. Some of the children were killed or developed severe brain damage. There are many tests that are performed on animals. The LD-50, Draize Eye test, Skin Toxicity test and many, many more.
