On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan.
Congress must put their money where their mouths are -- if they are against the "public option" for the rest of us, they must give up their health program "option" - PAID FOR BY OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS - They must be required to take the same 'private insurance plans' that they want to continue to shove down our throats. As long as their families and all federal employees have a 'public option' to choose from, it is their responsibility to see to it that ALL AMERICANS are afforded the same right to affordable healthcare. If they feel that the "public option" is too expensive and will cause economic hardship on our future generations, or is a "slippery slope" to "Socialism" THEN MAKE THEM GIVE IT UP ! Otherwise, insist that they support our right to the same choice of affordable healthcare options that they selfishly avail themselves and their families.
