The president of the Regional Council of Puglia, suggests a collection of one million signatures - one million is needed to support a cause to the European Community authorities - "if you were not on very short notice for a moratorium on drillings in the Adriatic sea ", which is why" it will be necessary to propose to the institutions, associations and citizens a large petition to the European Union against the oil into the sea. HELP US WITH YOUR Signature TO SAY  ” No to the drills in the Jonio Italian sea – Save Our Sea”The rally to express their dissent to the demands for permission to search for oil and gas in the Ionian Sea was presented  in Policoro; involved Ionian municipalities of Basilicata and Calabria regions and  the municipalities of Taranto and Lecce provinces of Puglia.

The Adriatic Sea (closed sea comparable to a huge lake) is now one of the most vulnerable areas of the Mediterranean basin, given the presence of major shipping lanes crossed by oil tankers bound for the ports of the northern Adriatic. An environmental condition already precarious that, however, may be further aggravated by the occurrence of major disasters. Collisions, wrecks or accidental spillage of oil or other toxic materials in water: factors that we hope not to face ever but it is good to take into account. Moves hence the need to create a cross-border network for the prevention of risks and the management of emergencies. In this way you want to not only reduce the risk of pollution and contamination of the Adriatic sea and coastal areas, but also create a shared practice primary care among communities belonging to the Adriatic region.

Italy has all the papers in order to further develop the tourism industry, with all the benefits that would follow for the economy and employment but still disperses energy industry that pollutes. U.S.A. tourists, for example, are fascinated by our centers, we instead mistreat and Italian landscapes. But they are increasingly on the rise Russians and Asians. We need to enhance our heritage, trying to keep it in good condition because this is the real heritage of our beautiful country, as described in the late 1800s by Abbot Stoppani, in his book titled just right “The beautiful Country”: a text that everyone should possess, schools, teachers, politicians, public administrators, as describes in great Italy and its beauty.

He is the chairman of the Regional Council of Puglia 's ninth legislature . Born February 17, 1943 in Bari, where he resides. A graduate in economics and trade qualified as a chartered accountant and auditor. Elected in the district of Bari , is the largest of the supported list " Left Ecology and Freedom " , with more than 7,400 votes and is in his fourth term of office.
Socialist International since 1962 , in 1994 he was appointed regional secretary and member of the executive committee Apulian the SDI .
Councillor of the Region of Puglia 1992-2000 , is commissioner with responsibility for health from 1992 to 1993 .
In 2005, re-elected regional councilor in the list SDI , he was appointed commissioner of public works until June of 2009 and of the environment commissioner until April of 2010.
Municipal councilor in Bari from 1981 to 1984, he held the posts of deputy mayor and commissioner of public works . For the region plays the role of the Special Commissioner of the Provincial Tourism, 1986-1990 .
From 1990 to 1993 he was chairman of the board of directors of " Aticarta spa" of Rome.
From 2002 to 2006, political coordinator of the center of Puglia.

Caro Presidente,

L’Italia petrolizzata ...

 Ci sarebbe veramente da ridere al  modo malato della classe politica di pensare, ai suoi progetti stile anni ’60 per aggiustare l’Italia, alla sua visione piccola piccola per il futuro. Invece qui sono pianti amari, perché non si tratta di un gioco o di un esperimento o di una scommessa. Qui si tratta della vita delle persone, e del futuro di una nazione, o dovrei dire del suo regresso.  Non si può pensare di “risanare” l’Italia trivellando il bel paese in lungo ed in largo. Si parla di questo Paese come se qui non ci vivesse nessuno: metanodotti dall’Algeria, corridoio Sud dell’Adriatico, 4 rigassificatori, raddoppio delle estrazioni di idrocarburi. E la gente dove deve andare a vivere di grazia? Ci dicano, i politici. Dove e cosa vogliono bucare? Ci dicano, i politici. I campi di riso di Carpignano Sesia? I sassi di Matera? I vigneti del Montepulciano d’Abruzzo? Le riserve marine di Pantelleria? I frutteti di Arborea? La laguna di Venezia? Il parco del delta del Po? Gli ospedali? I parchi? La Majella? Le zone terremotate dell’Emilia? Il lago di Bomba? La riviera del Salento? Otranto? Le Tremiti?


Ci dicano, i politici.


Oppure dobbiamo aspettare un terremoto come in Emilia, o l’esplosione di tumori come all’Ilva per non farle fare certe cose, 
tentando la sorte e dopo che decine e decine di persone sono morte?


Vorrei tanto sapere dove vivono i politici. Vorrei tanto che fossero i politici ad avere mercurio in corpo, vorrei tanto che fossero i politici a respirare idrogeno solforato dalla mattina alla sera, 
vorrei tanto che fossero i politici ad avere perso la casa nel terremoto, vorrei tanto che fossero le mogli dei politici ad avere partorito bambini deformi, 
vorrei tanto che fossero i politici a dover emigrare perché la propria regione – quella che ci darà questo 20% della produzione nazionale – è la piu’ povera d’Italia. Ma io lo so che dove vivono i politici tutto questo non c’è. Dove vivono i politici ci sono giardini fioriti, piscine, ville eleganti soldi e chissà, 
amici banchieri, petrolieri e lobbisti di ogni genere. Lo so che è facile far cassa sull’ambiente. I delfini e i fenicotteri non votano. Il cancro verrà domani, non oggi. 
I petrolieri sbavano per bucare, hanno soldi e l’Italia è corrotta. È facile, lo so. Ma qui non parliamo di soldi, tasse e dei tartassamenti iniqui di questo governo, parliamo della vita della gente. 
Non è etico, non è morale pensare di sistemare le cose avvelenando acqua, aria e pace mentale della gente, 
dopo averli lasciati in mutande perché non si aveva il coraggio di attaccare il vero marciume dell’Italia. E no, non è possibile trivellare in rispetto dell’ambiente. Non è successo mai. Da nessuna parte del mondo.


Mai.


Ma non vedono, i politici, cosa succede a Taranto? Che dopo 50 anni di industrializzazione selvaggia – all’italiana, 
senza protezione ambientale, senza controlli, senza multe, senza amore, 
senza l’idea di lasciare qualcosa di buono alla comunità – la gente muore, i tumori sono alle stelle, la gente tira fuori piombo nelle urine? E adesso noialtri dobbiamo pure pagare il ripristino ambientale? E voi politici pensate che questo sia il futuro? 


Qui il limite trivelle e’ di 160 km da riva, come ripetuto ad infinitum caro “giornalista” Luca Iezzi. 
Ed è dal 1969 che non ce le mettiamo più le trivelle in mare perché non è questo il futuro. 
Qui il futuro si chiama high tech, biotech, nanotech, si chiamano Google, Facebook, Intel, Tesla 
e una miriade di startup che tappezzano tutta la California. Il futuro si chiama uno Stato di 37 milioni di persone che produce il 20% della sua energia da fonti rinnovabili adesso, 
ogni giorno e che gli incentivi non li taglia a beneficio delle lobby dei petrolieri. Il futuro si chiamano programmi universitari per formare chi lavorerà nell’industria verde, 
si chiamano 220.000 posti di lavoro verde, si chiama programmi per rendere facile l’uso degli incentivi.


Ma non hanno figli questi politici? E che razza di ministro sarà quello dell'Ambiente?


E gli italiani cosa faranno?


Non lo sanno, gli italiani.


Sanno solo che occorre protestare, senza fine, ed esigere, esigere, ma esigere veramente e non su facebook ,
che chiunque seguirà certi scandalosi personaggi e tutta la cricca che pensa che l’Italia sia una landa desolata 
si renda conto che queste sono le nostre vite e che le nostre vite sono sacre.

Hi everybody,
ONE MILLION of signatures are necessary to rescue Tremiti Islands our Adriatic and Jonio seas from the oil drillings. Puglia is really a wonderful garden and the first region in Italy for renewable energy plants projects, so we need absolutely a very good EU Law which could be able to prevent damages to our seas, to Puglia economic activities, so could be able to guarantee job and environment. Do we think of reaching this "mission impossible" target goal ? Yes, we do !
