It's time to impose harsher penalties for Animal Cruelty cases in Trinidad and Tobago. In a related topic, BAN or severely restrict the sale of fireworks

My issue is the psychopathic miscreants placing firecrackers in the mouths of animals with deadly consequences. It is RIDICULOUS and something must be done! I'm fed up with the gruesome aftermaths. If it was my pet and I found out who was the perpetrator, GOD HELP THAT PERSON!

Our animal welfare legislation is based on the Summary Offences Act which has not been updated since 1921. The nature of the abuses are escalating just like our skyrocketing crime rate. Fireworks have been at the heart of many of these incidents.

I propose that stricter penalties and jail terms be applied ($10,000 and up penalties and jail terms of 5 years for actively causing the death of any animal (such as placing a f%$&&#g scratch bomb in its mouth!)
