We need to protect Arizonans from losing their healthcare insurance – especially those with pre-existing conditions.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) secured lifesaving coverage for millions of people, including roughly 3 million Arizonans with pre-existing conditions, yet the law has repeatedly come under attack. Politicians in 18 states, including Arizona, have filed to overturn the law and now the Supreme Court will decide whether healthcare protections should be struck down or upheld. We need to protect and improve our state's healthcare system, not start from zero.
The Arizona Healthcare Bill of Rights would codify these commonsense provisions into law:
- No discrimination based on pre-existing conditions
- Coverage for essential health benefits
- Allowing young adults to stay on a parent's plan
- No lifetime or annual limits on benefits
- Coverage of preventive services without cost-sharing
Now is the time for Arizona to ensure that comprehensive, affordable health coverage will always be available.
