THANK YOU HON JOHN MICHUKI - YOU EFFECTIVELY ENEDED THE MONOPOLY BY SIGINING & GAZZETING SECTION 5.5 OF THE COMMUNICATIONS ACT 1998 AND TODAY MANY LICENCES HAVE BEEN ISSUED MAKING KENYA A BETTER PLACE FOR COMMUNICATIONS!

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Hon John Njoroge Michuki has reiterated that the government is committed to completely liberalizing the telecommunications sector hence ending years of Jambonet and Telkom Kenya monopolies that he said have hampered effective operations in the industry. “We cannot have a position where if Jambonet stops working then everyone else stops working…We will soon remove this monopoly”, the minister said.
