Tell President Zuma to End Violence Against Women and Children in South Africa

Gender violence is out of control in South Africa, according to a report on bbc.com

Horror statistics include:

• 1 in 5 women are assaulted by their partner
•  More than 40,000 cases of rape are reported every year, most of the victims are female
• Femicide in South Africa is 5 times higher than the global average

The president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma has described violence against women as a "crisis in the country" saying he would consider harsher sentences for sex offenders.
