To the estate of the Legendary and Beloved Bing Crosby,
Many of us admire the performances of your great Bing Crosby, mostly around Christmas time, with his White Christmas, even my own Mom watches his movie every year. Even I enjoy him, mostly with one of my favorite movies, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
Yet, there is one work many of us would love to see out and about. The seldom remembered that is much like great films like Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Goldilocks. Which was performed by the entire Crosby family, which my Mom would enjoy for it would make her thing about the Crosby Family Christmas Specials.
I know you haven't shown it in decades due to the many beliefs it wasn't good, and even the off chance it would get pirated, but many of us, even myself would love to see it out and about. And Bing himself would love to have still be shown to the public, along with White Christmas, Holiday Inn, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, the Road to films he did with fellow legends Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour, and a host of others.
Now being an animation lover myself, I know it was a wonderful effort to be like the films that not only combined live-action and animation but also done by great legends, such as the ones with fellow legend, Gene Kelly (much like Hanna-Barbera's Jack and the Beanstalk, which is all the more reason why I feel it should be shown to the public) and even Mary Poppins as seen with the famous scene with Dick Van Dyke dancing with the penguins which was also inspired by the works of Gene Kelly.
And I feel it is such a grand work, not only with the talents of Bing Crosby and his family, also them with the shared work of the genius of the Sherman Brothers, best well-known for Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Charlotte's Web and Winnie the Pooh and even the magic of David Depatie and Friz Freleng, whom helped bring Bugs Bunny and the Pink Panther to life. So with so much amazing talents, it wouldn't be so bad.
And now the biggest reason I implore, with the Culture Wars going on now and even the trouble in the Animation Industry today, and not the mention streaming completely on the verge of replacing physical media, there has been too many great works under threat and shelved. We need to help take a stand for all great works of art, for all great arts are sacred. So please, let Goldilocks come out into the public, for the world, for art's sake, for Crosby's fans, like my Mom, and even for Bing. For I know the son and nephew of the Sherman Brothers would do the same. For art is life and life is art. For even Bing and many other great artists would take a stand for art, such as animation.
