Luxury fashion brand Gucci revealed new kangaroo-lined loafers at a 2015 fashion show. The footwear is available for both men and women, and influential celebrities like Kendall Jenner have been seen wearing it.
According to Dr. Daniel Ramp of the Centre for Compassionate Conservation at the University of Technology in Sydney, some kangaroo populations are in decline. But even if they weren't, it is still inhumane to slaughter animals for their fur when warm, comfortable synthetic materials are available.
