To help protect and preserve critical habitat for the Jefferson's Salamander (Ambystoma jeffersonianum), which is listed federally as an endangered species.
We the undersigned are fully committed to boycotting the city of Kitchener, it's industries (including manufacturing industries, tourism, and the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy), and all of its local businesses; unless the city takes effective and immediate actions to halt the River Road extension that will cut through Hidden Valley. This is due to the fact that this area is an important habitat for the Jefferson's Salamander (Ambystoma jeffersonianum), which is listed federally as an endangered species.
We the undersigned are adamant that the mere convenience of having more roadways is trivial in comparison with the protection and preservation of declining species. Such convenience does not justify the destruction of critical habitats or the imperiling of salamanders.
