It is high time that every US Judge sentences animal abusers who commit Aggravated Animal Cruelty to prison. Aggravated Animal Cruelty is a FELONY in all fifty US States and must be taken more seriously. Too many US Judges are letting these sadistic and cruel criminals go unpunished without jail and WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!
(Example: Preston Odle and Levi Evans of Dresden TN in 2012 intentionally tortured and killed a puppy and the judge gave them no prison, only probation)
ONCE AN ABUSER--ALWAYS AN ABUSER.
It's the same as adults horribly abusing their young children, almost killing them. In a court of law, if YOU were a judge, would YOU allow the abusive parents to have their children back? Of course you wouldn't! Same with pets.
This is what this petition demands:
1) NO US JUDGE SHOULD ALLOW ANY ABUSIVE PET OWNER TO HAVE THIER PETS BACK.
2) WE WANT EVERY US JUDGE TO SENTENCE ANIMAL ABUSERS TO PRISON FOR THE MAXIMUM TIME ALLOWED PER STATE CRIMINAL STATUTE. (Example: Massachusetts is up to 7 years prison for committing aggravated animal cruelty)
3) WE WANT NO US JUDGE TO ALLOW ANY PLEA DEAL OR JUDICIAL DIVERSION THAT ELIMINATES CRIMINAL CHARGES OR CRIMINAL RECORD.
EVERY US Judge needs to take animal cruelty MUCH MORE seriously! Animal abusers CANNOT BE TRUSTED. THEY WILL COMIT THE CRIME AGAIN. THE PUBLIC CONTINUES TO BE OUTRAGED OVER TOO LENIENT SENTENCING. COME ON JUDGES!! SMARTEN UP! JAIL ALL ANIMAL ABUSERS--OR FACE PUBLIC AND MEDIA BACKLASH.
