The purpose for this petition is to express community agreement that it is a most reasonable proposition that our landlord and property owner, Cortland Young, renew the current lease agreement set to expire in the Fall of this year. We ask that negotiations be opened and that World on Wheels Roller Skating Rink and Midtown Bowling Center be allowed to remain in business at our current location.
World on Wheels Roller Skating Rink was established in October, 1981, and Midtown Bowling Center long before that. Since that time, we have hosted thousands of members of religious and community groups, corporations and small businesses, schools, fraternities and sororities, and promoters. People love us. Their call to us is answered with fun. Whether for children, adults, families, individuals, or organizations, we -- World on Wheels Roller Skating Rink and Midtown Bowling Center have answered that call and met the need for fun right here in this place. We love you and are grateful to this community and to our extended community of friends -- all those who have come from afar and have loved us back.
In the early 1990’s, World on Wheels Roller Skating Rink and Midtown Bowling Center came under the new ownership of AMF Bowling Centers, and The Midtown Shopping Center Associates and The Young Management Company was welcomed as the new landowner on which The Midtown Shopping Center rests. Since that time, AMF has come to enjoy the benefits of a good and sound relationship established over the years by World on Wheels Roller Skating Rink and Midtown Bowling Center, and has allowed the landlord to successfully manage the property while being fully engaged with the larger community in a prosperous and wel -serving relationship. To us, relationship with the community is most important, and we have proven it to generations of families who are our customers, and whose customers we are.
