Demand for cuts to Huntingdonshire car park charges

HDC Car park charges are unfair to residents and visitors of Huntingdonshire market Towns. These charges are outdated, damaging to our local economies and are an additional unfair tax on the Market towns of St Ives St Neots and Huntingdon.

Charges for these car parks fail to recognise competition from out of town stores with free parking, the displacement of cars to residential streets and impacts on retailers and users of community facilities in town centres.

We, the undersigned demand that car parks at Parks should be free of charge and charges in our three Market Towns be significantly reduced to support the economic regeneration of retail and other facilities at the hearts of our towns.
