Following Donald Trump's conviction on 34 counts, the state of New Jersey is considering whether Trump should lose his liquor licenses for 3 golf courses in that state.
This should be an easy call: 1) State law prohibits anyone from holding a liquor license who has been convicted of a crime "involving moral turpitude." and 2) Part of what goes into that calculation is a requirement that "a person must have a reputable character and would be expected to operate the licensed business in a reputable manner,'' according to the division. There is no way Trump passes this test. New Jersey has the right -- and the obligation -- to act now. And other states should follow.
Add your name, and urge NJ authorities to take away Trump's liquor licenses.
