Back in 2007, one of the most horrific animal cruelty cases on record occurred in rural Cullman County Alabama. Click here to read Annies story;
http://animalnews2.blogspot.com/2010/01/justice-for-annie.htmlAs part of the investigation into this case, the Cullman County Sheriff sent Annies body to the
STATE VET George D'Andrea, for an autopsy and AMAZINGLY, his "professional" determination was that the injuries to Annie were caused by "accident," reasoning that she probably got herself caught up in machinery of some sort (a "de-glover type of machinery, he suggests!?)
Here is a link to the 07' autopsy report with a video of the sheriff (trying) to explain the state vets findings;
http://www.cullmantimes.com/local/x1116131747/BEAGLE-UPDATE-Animal-autopsy-raises-questionsSurley this is a case of the state covering up for the county to spare them the trouble of prosecuting this case. Please signers. DO NOT allow this case to go unprosecuted. We must challange the findings of Dr. D'Andrea in Annies autopsy report.
You can also contact the Alabama State Board of Veterinarians to complain about Dr. D'Andrea's fudging of Annies autopsy report.
Below is the contact info for
The Cullman Times, the newspaper that covered the story. Call them to let them know you are NOT buying the state vets determination and demand justice for Annie and that the "investigation" into the matter of who did this to her be re-opened. The name of the reporter who covered Annies case is
Noah Chandler;

or call the main desk directly at: (256) 734-2131
You can also contact
Cullman County Sheriff Tyler Roden to demand that the investigation be re-opened. He was the one in charge of the initial "investigation" and who put the state vet on the case (the one who determined Annies injuries were the result of an "accident.") This vet should lose his licence for falsifying autopsy reports!

Here is a link with contact info to "The Cullman Area Animal Welfare Association" who are the ones that set up the reward / trust fund for Annie. Maybe they still have Annies Reward Fund open or will help us to re-open the case. By last report in 07', the fund was up to $14,000
