WE Support for Physical Education for California's Children

Our children need physical education and the governor has included  $85 million for professional development, reducing class size and hiring elementary physical education specialists. He also included $250 million for Physical education supplies and equipment.   However, Physical Education funding has been cut out of the current budget going forward in California. 

Make your voice heard now.  Let the leaders of both parties in the Senate and Assembly  know that we support physical education funding.

Dear Decision Maker:

I strongly support Governor Schwarzenegger's proposals to include physical education funding in the budget. Teachers need professional development in physical education and the $85 million in on-going funding is needed for this purpose and to hire elementary school physical education specialists.  The $250 million in one time funds will provide for much needed equipment and supplies in order to provide quality physical education for California's children.
