Help Chimp Haven Give Former Research Chimps the Retirement They Deserve!
At Chimp Haven, the world's largest chimpanzee sanctuary, chimps retired from biomedical research get to experience the joys they would have enjoyed in the wild: climbing trees, living in large, bonded social groups, eating their favorite fruits, running, playing, exploring, and — best of all — choosing how they spend their days.
More than 300 chimps who were waiting in research facilities are now retired at Chimp Haven and spend their days lounging in the sun, enjoying grooming sessions with their besties, and living their best chimp life.
We want them to experience all the joys of sanctuary, just like Hugo, who came to Chimp Haven from a research facility where he had spent his entire life (21 years). They waited patiently for their second chance and now we want them to have the retirement they deserve.
Please join us by pledging your support to the 300+ chimps just like Hugo who are finally home at sanctuary. By signing this pledge, you'll learn more about these former research chimps and how you can help. With your support, we can give them all the second chance they deserve.
