Ban Calf-Roping Cruelty in Rodeos!

Calf roping is a rodeo event that involves lassoing calves around the neck, flipping them on their sides and tying their legs together. The event is banned in South Australia and Victoria, but continues in Queensland, where it featured at the popular Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo.

Lassoing calves can cause serious injuries such as ligament tearing, subcutaneous tissue damage and internal hemorrhaging to the trachea and thymus gland. Human entertainment does not justify such a cruel practice.

Please sign the petition to urge Queensland Parliament members to join Victoria and South Australia in banning calf-roping.
