For almost a year, authorities have been called to a property in Coram, Montana in response to "dog-related incidents." Now, finally, the dogs in this house of horrors have been saved -- 27 to be exact. At least one puppy tragically did not make it out alive.
Sign the petition to demand the person who neglected and abused these dogs be held accountable! A
firsthand account from a visiting veterinarian paints a bleak picture.
Dozens of dogs were living in severe neglect. The area they were living in was
covered in urine, feces, and garbage.Apparently, there wasn't even a clean water source that these poor dogs could drink from! On top of that, it was evident that these dogs weren't receiving enough food --
a puppy from the home that died had its cause of death cited as lack of food or care. The scale of the suffering was so great, a nearby local shelter had to transfer out over a dozen healthy, adoptable dogs to different animal shelters to make room for the 27 dogs from this horrific case.
Since August 2024, authorities have been requesting that the woman who owned all these dogs surrender them for their own good. And time and time again, the woman refused. Instead, she let these poor creatures suffer and even die in her 'care.' Things must have gotten pretty severe for authorities to finally be able to seize these dogs and charge this woman with felony cruelty.
Clearly, this woman has no understanding of or regard for the wellbeing of animals. Her inability to care for these dogs, nor ask for help when she obviously needed it, is something we must take seriously. That's why we're asking that the authorities in Flathead, Montana suggest a lifetime ban on animal ownership as a part of her sentencing.
