STOP the proposed holiday homes development above Langmoor gdns in Lyme Regis. This is woodland with a tree protection order, situated on the land S.W of Stile House, Stile lane. Access is via the top of Stile Lane or Langmoor gdns. It is a wild place of peace and beauty with tall trees, overlooking the seafront and above the mini golf and one of the last remaining "lungs of Lyme".
There are so many reasons to object to this planning application. The land here is already unstable, on a land slip area, which is great cause for concern to neighbouring dwellings and Lyme's resident community. 3 bungalows are proposed packed into a small steep space, causing great upheaval to the existing terrain and changing this landscape forever.
There is no private access to the site for people or services. Guests with their luggage would have to navigate the narrow and steep stepped public footpath, which is already visibly cracked and slipping. There is no direct road access for diggers, building machinery or emergency services.
It is purely for financial gain and would create noise pollution to the neighbouring Langmoor gardens, distress and great disturbance to all the wildlife in situ.
It was was sold as woodland by Mrs Fowles and should be kept as the nature conservation area for which it was intended.
Please support the protection of this outstanding heritage coastal area land.

This petition is being raised to bring wider awareness to what is being proposed and to give more people a chance to have their voices heard. The has been shared with the planning committee by the deadline on 15 May but decision has now been extended until 7th June, so there is still time to put in your comments especially on the council planning website.
Location: A notice for the proposed planning is posted on a wooden gate, entrance to the site. Access via the path that leads on from Stile lane, DT7 3JD by the sign which says Farnham house.
Or walking from the gardens, away from the sea, climb the steps above the mini golf, follow the steep path up towards Stile lane. The land and notice are visible on your left.
