My name is Ross Schumann and I want to run for U.S. Congress in the 11th District of Texas.
I need 1500 signatures to qualify for the ballot, but before you sign, let me tell you who I am and what I believe in.
I am a 10 year Veteran of the Texas Army National Guard.
I have a Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University.
I have worked in the Oil and Gas Industry for 8 years.
I was born and raised on a 800 acre ranch in Dime Box, Texas and grew up hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature as well as working with my Grandfather and Dad to work cattle.
As a Soldier, I swore to protect and defend the United States Constitution, and believe that is whole heartedly the life blood of what makes America the best nation in the world. This country was founded on the ideal that all people should have the same access to oppurtunities as everyone else.
I believe that every American should have the right to pursue their happiness in the way they choose. Whether that means being able to start a small business, or go to work for a large corporation, you should have the freedom to choose for yourself and be able to make a good living. This means you should not be punished for working harder by having your overtime hours taxed at crazy rates.
My Policy Points:
No Income tax on Overtime hours or Day Bonus.
Extension of Ag exemption for Property Tax for those installing Renewable Energy Systems
Fundamental Changes to Immigration system to take the burden off the Immigrant. Make it easier for people to migrate legally to the United States and end the profitteering of lawyers from migrants.
Protection of all Constitutional Rights.
Decreasing the size and scope of Government to give people more control over their lives.
