Jack'd is a gay dating app with the largest community of queer men of color. Many QMoC join to seek other QMoC and to feel safe from the hate and discrimination they face from predominantly white gay men in other gay dating apps.
Many gay white men awakened to their conditioned racism intentionally join Jack'd to convince themselves they can be open-minded and are NOT ONLY into other gay white men (the group which they genuinely and foremost are into). After all, Jack'd is known for its diversity where QMoC exceeds gay whites, so gay white men know EXACTLY what they are getting into when they sign up. These very same gay white men join Jack'd and immediately post their racial preferences on their profiles stating whether they prefer Asians, blacks, Latinos, or Middle Eastern. Little do these gay white men realize they are disturbing the peace. They are disrupting what this gay dating app with mainly QMoC was created and intended for. These very same gay white men are dividing and conquering QMoC. Jack'd should be a gay app exclusively for QMoC. A safe haven for QMoC.
Moreover, because whites are genuinely attracted to other whites and make white lies (pun intended) to people of color that they love, accept, or prefer differences, we as PoC fall for their white lies, trust them, and welcomed them. Soon more whites will encroach onto/into PoC's safe and personal spaces (because whites tend to gravitate towards other whites) and subsequently change PoC's safe and personal spaces into predominantly white spaces. This in turn forces PoC to remove themselves from spaces that were once rightfully theirs. History repeats itself. The cycle of white supremacy repeats itself.
Whites have no right to join Jack'd if they are not genuinely attracted to QMoC. Whites have no right to join Jack'd if they deliberately join Jack'd to fetishize QMoC. Whites have no right to join Jack'd if they are going to state racial preferences and divide and conquer QMoC. Whites have no right to join Jack'd if they are there because they want to make themselves visible with power in a space that is safe, personal, and comfortable for QMoC.
