Joint Indo/Sri Lankan Marine Park to Resolve Fisheries War

We call on the governments of Sri Lanka and India to resolve the fisheries war between the two countries by increase the yield of fisheries, this can be done by turning to conservation. http://www.sundaytimes.lk/130203/news/big-brothers-trawlers-carry-on-regardless-31484.html

 A joint marine peace park must be established to allow fisheries to recover through the spillover effect .http://www.protectplanetocean.org/somr/ReserveEffects.html  

The park will consist of an Indian half extending west from the maritime border and a Sri Lankan half extending east from the maritime border, much like the marine peace park built in the Red Sea between Israel, Jordan and  Egypt.http://mfa.gov.il/MFA/PressRoom/1997/Pages/BINATIONAL%20RED%20SEA%20MARINE%20PEACE%20PARK%20-%20Oct-97.aspx  .
