In addition to tourism, shipping and fishing are the main causes of garbage pollution in the North Sea.
Many Ship captains simply throw their plastic waste into the sea instead of disposing of it in the port. The effects of the litter are serious, the penalties ridiculous. There would be a simple solution.
Waste disposal in many ports is chargeable.
In fact, the problem is dramatic. More and more garbage gets into the North Sea and since it is mostly made of plastic, it disintegrates over time into microscopic parts.
International Cooperation is necessary since plastic waste is not limited to national Borders.

- Support communities in the fight against plastic
- Ban plastic packaging, rethink the packaging industry
- Support zerowaste, plasticfree Supermarkets
