Every year thousands of animals are put to death in animal shelters statewide. The cause of this is overbreeding,overcrowding,puppy and kitten mills and irresponsible pet owners.Shelters do not discriminate even euthanizing puppies and kittens.
Due to overcrowding the shelters become disease filled even making the most adoptable animals unadoptable due to illnesses . It's horrible to see pictures of death row animals online and notes of rescuers in desperation trying to save their lives.Many are never saved.
Lets help control the pet populaton and put an end to backyard breeding.Lets pass a law in New York requiring all dogs and cats be spayed or nuetered (exclusive of an animals age,andhealth issues).
Think of how many innocent lives that can be saved not to mention cutting the cost to run overcrowded shelters.

PLEASE URGE GOVENOR CUOMO AND THE NEW YORK LEGISLATURE TO INSTITUTE A STATEWIDE MANDATORY SPAY AND NEUTER LAW.
